Andros is the northern and second largest island, after Naxos, in the Cyclades complex, South Aegean sea in Greece. The island’s capital is Andros or Chora. The port, Gavrio, can be reached via 2 hour Ferry route from Rafina Port in Athens. Gavrio port has daily ferry routes that connect the island to the mainland and also many other islands such as Mykonos, Tinos and even Santorini and Crete.

And it’s full of surprises. Where else could you find Venetian castles and untouched beaches, rushing rivers and abandoned watermills, a world-class modern art museum and the grand mansions of local shipowners, as well as well-marked hiking trails and dramatic precipices? For all its wealth, Andros is laid-back and discreet, shy of tourism, awaiting discovery by the discerning traveller.

Getting to Andros

Fly to Athens - TRANSFER BY FERRY
Approx. 2hrs by ferry from Rafina port
Rafina is situated very close to the Athens International airport. You can reach the port both from the Airport and the centre of the city using taxis or the many bus routes available
