Lemon Tree Houses are a unique complex of five boutique villas, built in the heart of Ano Meria, the traditional village of Folegandros with its unspoiled, mesmerizing landscape, spread over cultivated fields with a myriad of dry stoned walls. Built in a minimal Cycladic architectural style, with two private verandas for each villa with unobstructed view of the Aegean Archipelago.
Each property can accommodate from just two up to a party of five, making Lemon Tree Houses, an ideal place for friends, couples and families. Despite their matching exteriors, each villa boasts its own individual design and welcoming atmosphere, highlighted by unique interior works.
The all day bar restaurant is located in the heart of the establishment right beside the pool. There you can enjoy a delicious breakfast & brunch menus prepared with the most carefully selected ingredients each morning.
Ano Mera is within close proximity to Chora which is only 5km away and easily reached by local bus which stops close by. Visitors to the village are spellbound by the scenic beauty of the village that is scarcely populated which means there is plenty of breathing space. Staying here is for those who simply want to relax, enjoy the scenery and maybe hike one of the nearby trails to a local beach.
A leisure stroll through any of the village's well defined walking paths can be a refreshing experience. The village, which has just 350 residents, has still preserved their old traditions and heritage.
There are two restaurants within walking distance and you should not miss trying the local delicacy, 'matsata'. It is basically a handmade pasta served with rooster, rabbit or 'sutzukakia' (local meatballs) in red sauce.
