Built upon the slope of a rocky hill which starts from the beach, Vrahos Hotel blends into the the island's traditional architecture. It is situated overlooking the small port where you arrive by ferry and is just a short stroll away.
You can also hop on the local bus to take you to the main town - the Chora 3km away for dinner in the evening or to wander around the shops that spill out in the small alleyways.
Flooded in bougainvilleas, palm trees and flowers, overlooking the Aegean Sea, the gaze reaches Sikinos and Santorini, while the entrance is freshened by the crystal waters of the small bay in front.
The hotel, built in 1999 and renovated in 2010, has 29 rooms, suites and apartments nicely decorated and offering views. Built-in beds, romantic four-poster beds and handmade works of art are some of the factors that contribute to creating a unique atmosphere.
The large central terrace of the bar welcomes you to enjoy your breakfast. The wide variety of traditional local products, served in buffet style on antique furniture, will definitely open your appetite. Evening in the same place is dominated by a romantic mood, while enjoying a drink in the candlelight, listening to classical music and admiring the magnificent view, unless you prefer the privacy offered by your own personal terrace.
The Jacuzzi at the Hotel (book by appointment) offers you relaxation and rejuvenation coupled with its unparalleled views is undeniably a must of your stay in Folegandros.
Apart from the Karavostasi beach, which lies in front of the hotel, you can reach another three beaches within short walking distance. Unless you prefer to enjoy a round tour of the island by boat, or simply swim in remote beaches only accessible by sea, boats leave Karavostasis harbour very often.
